It's Been 2 Years... (Why I Quit Blogging + Life Update)
Honestly, this post is more for me than for my readers (or what's left of them) because I want to create a segway for myself to ease myself back into the blogging world. I know this post won't perform well on Google, and it's never going to be my most popular post...
But I've been doing some research and there aren't that many posts written by people who have quit blogging, so I want to share my experience and the reasoning behind why I quit blogging.
Even though this blog post is very different than most of my other content, I still want to post it. I didn't feel like I could just jump right back into sharing my bullet journal layouts, and new productivity tips.
I needed a transitional post to gap the TWO years! So, this article is going to catch you up on my whole journey (maybe)! Two years is a lot to cover in one go! I'll start with why I quit blogging.
Why I Quit Blogging
Why I Quit Blogging #1: Burn Out
Why I Quit Blogging #2: Spreading Myself Too Thin
Why I Quit Blogging #3: Comparison
Why I Quit Blogging #4: Income Versus Time Spent
Why I Quit Blogging #5: Influencers

Dear Pixie, good for you! I love your writing style. It is breezy, easy-going and full of honest insight. Also, I really like the clear way you organize your thoughts and points, and how easy it is to search. The recap is wonderful- I feel like I truly am able to embrace the material with recall. I also think your design is very inviting, classy and even though it is in beautiful blush tones, it is not at all juvenile. You go girl! Keep it up and best to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words! This made my day, and all the best to you as well! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so refreshing to read your post! I've built a business before and burnt it all down because of burn out and I don't want to repeat it this time with my blog. I've just started blogging for around 3-4 months now and been very careful on me not burning out, or feeling like I wasn't doing enough to grow faster. I constantly remind myself to enjoy the process and great things take time
ReplyDeleteHey Pixie! It's so refreshing to read your content! I've been burnt out and burn down my first business before, and I definitely don't want to repeat it with my blog this time. I've only been blogging for around 3-4 months now so I've been very careful with what I do and protecting my energy.
ReplyDeleteGlad you found this post helpful! I think feeling burnt out is a common experience when building a business or creating content. Good luck with your new blog!
